I wish I had a picture of this cake. It was so pretty! And it tasted as good as it looked! I’m not really sure where this recipe came from, but it’s one Kasey’s been making for my birthday for several years. I’ve never made it myself, but decided it was the perfect thing to bring to Matt’s ordination weekend BBQ last Saturday. It’s pretty quick and easy to make. I highly recommend it!
Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake
1 package (18.25 oz) devil’s food cake mix
1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
4 eggs
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
6 TBS butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, milk, oil, water and eggs. Beat for 4 minutes, then mix in 2 cups chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
To make the glaze, melt the butter and 1 cup chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave. Stir until smooth and drizzle over cake.
Enjoy!
